As it's a beautiful and warm day, me and my boyfriend decided to go for a little Sunday walk in the area. We walked out the door, crossed a football field, went up some stairs and randomly took a few streets left and right. We realized that we were on some kind of special route, but didn't really think about following it.. Then I suddenly saw a little pathway disappearing in among some trees. After a short pause to consider if there could be some robbers or junkies in there and concluding with the fact that we were two people in a very safe neighbourhood, we went along the path. A few meters in among the trees there was a sign (see above). It turned out that we were suddenly in one of the most northerly oak forests in Norway! Forest might be an exaggerate, but it was just beautiful. Hilly and tall, tall beautiful trees! (More than you can see on the photo above, for once I didn't bring my camera!)
We hardly see oak in Norway, so to me they have always been particularly beautiful, and I love how they can live for a 1000 years go through all the ages of men like that. It was just a lovely surprise and a wonderful experience. And another thing that I really love about this city, it's actually a city with secrets and nature. If you get the chance, go for a trip in this lovely area with little wooden houses and pretty gardens, and see this beautiful little forest.

Ja, kanskje litt lenger nord da, ja :) hehe
